Popular Easter Baskets for 2011

As I write this, it’s nearly a week before Easter, 2011. If you’re still looking for inspiration for what to get your kids, here’s a list of the top-10 themes people were searching for on this website. Perhaps you’ll find some ideas right here!

  1. Justin Bieber. Even Easter can’t escape Bieber Fever! The most searched for human being on the net has fans¬†desperately¬†looking for Bieber themed Easter Baskets. In fact, searches for this theme outnumbered those for second place by a factor of over 3 to 1!
  2. Batman. The dark knight is always popular for Easter Baskets. Although knocked off the top spot this year, there are still hundreds of searches for Bruce Wayne’s alter-ego over the past month.
  3. Baby’s First Easter. Another popular theme every year, parents are always anxious to celebrate baby’s first…anything! Easter is no exception, and thankfully, there are plenty of great baskets available.
  4. Star Wars. Star Wars fans are found in abundance in every generation, and thanks to its rich universe of stories and characters, there are plenty of ideas for Easter Basket fillers!
  5. Toy Story. A modern classic, Toy Story has captured the imagination of children everywhere, and parents love the characters too. Not surprising then that they want them to join in the Easter festivities!
  6. Glee. The surprise hit in recent years has been the superbly produced, all singing, all dancing, all drama that is Glee.
  7. Spider-man. The second hero in the top-10. My son would probably put him at number 1, but that’s another story…
  8. Super Mario. The video game icon is undeniably an integral part of modern culture, and still as popular as ever.
  9. Scooby Doo. I loved Scooby Doo when I was a kid, and I must confess, it felt good to see that crazy canine still hanging in there!
  10. Pokemon. A surprise entry in the top-10. I wouldn’t have guessed that the Pokemon craze was still popular, but the numbers don’t lie!

An interesting list indeed! I was surprised to see just how popular Justin Bieber was, and equally surprised to find some themes that didn’t make the top 10 (for example, Spongebob, Dora and Ben 10). Of course, there are a lot of factors involved, so this isn’t a definitive list, but it was fun to gather the information and share it with you!
